Opportunity to Help from the U.S.
New Clothing Needed
Rosh Hashanah is rapidly approaching and traditionally it is a time to buy new clothes.
Donations of money are needed to give an added discount to the people of Gush Katif and Northern Shomron who do not have clothes with them. The money will be given to the shops that agree to sell clothes at a discount, thereby subsidizing the refugees even more.
To donate from the U.S.:

The unloading of the many, many trucks arriving from the Atzmona nurseries has finally come to an end but wait! There are still many more ways to help out. The initial urgent rescue mission was successful thanks to the huge effort made by so many generous individuals and groups including the Shomer Hatzair and chayalim! Now the nurseries must regain their standing in the international market of plant export. I spoke to the organizers and they are currently seeking volunteers to help with a different, more delicate work of organizing, stabilizing and setting up watering systems for the plants in their new temporary home (up to two years). It's more gardening than schlepping but the kind of work that anyone can pick up if they are interested. Once again they are looking for dedicated workers for this type of help and although they said they prefer older people b/c of the responsibility entailed. Personally I met some wonderful teens and young adults who were amazing and really cared and I think that's all it takes. For the time being they ask not to come without their knowledge so that they can prepare accordingly. You can call me and I will let you know when and what kind of work there is throughout the week. They will need help for the next few weeks at least so be patient and stay in touch. My cell is 054 6350223. Email address: roni018@012.net.il Tizku LeMitzvot Shavua Tov Chodesh Tov Roni

GUSH KATIF DEPORTEES NEAR YAD MORDECHAI NEED VISITORS
Arik Harpaz, whose daughter was killed at Elei Sinai, confirmed that the deportees from Elei Sinai would be delighted to have visitors, if any of us can spare the time, to enhance their mood and their continued struggle for the development of Eretz Yisrael. Drive to Tsomet Yad Mordechai and look for the tent city which is next to the gas station. Preferred time: after work, since some of the deportees have work. For particulars, call Arik 054-4284005.
