(IsraelNN.com) MK Tzvi Hendel has revealed that a survey that was carried out by the Prime Minister’s Office found that only 44% of the public support the Disengagement Plan. “You are protecting a man who is leading us toward a dictatorship,” said Hendel to the journalists present at a news conference on Monday afternoon to announce the union between MK's Effie Eitam and Rabbi Yitzhak Levy and the National Union Party. Eitam and Levi broke off from the National Religious Party a few months ago, over the NRP's restrained approach to the expulsion of Jews from the Gaza Strip and the Jenin area.
According to Hendel, Prime Minister Sharon is doing his utmost to make sure blood will be spilt. “There will not be a war between brothers if it is up to us,” Hendel said.
