(IsraelNN.com) Several prisoners in the Be'er Sheva penitentiary were punished by prison authorities for encouraging air force cadets to refuse to take part in operations meant to facilitate the Disengagement Plan, which would uproot the Jews of Gush Katif and northern Samaria. The prisoners have had their telephone privileges revoked, family visits were cancelled and the use of electric appliances has been restricted. The penalized prisoners were already in jail for anti-Disengagement Plan activities.
The incident occurred yesterday during a tour of the prison by air force cadets, when the soldiers reached the special wing set aside for anti-Disengagement prisoners. As soon as the prisoners recognized the soldiers as air force cadets, who are to be deployed extensively around Gush Katif under the Disengagement Plan, they broke out into chants of "Jews don't expel Jews!" and "Pilots don't expel Jews!"
