(IsraelNN.com) Additional reports of police brutality in Gush Katif and in the Kissufim Checkpoint are being publicized this morning by Harav Yosef Elnekavee, the Rabbi of Neve Dekalim. These are only two examples.
Rabbi Shai Levi of Neve Dekalim shouted at a policeman who was hitting children. A police officer arrested the rabbi for illegal gathering. He was dragged by the officer to the police car and hit all the way. Harav Levi notified the officer that he suffers from asthma and cannot be in a closed, airless place, but the officer refused to listen, kicked him in response and locked him in the car. After a while, a soldier noticed him desperately knocking on the window. He opened the door and the rabbi fell out of the car and collapsed. He was taken to the intensive-care unit of Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.
Guy Adler of Ganei Tal was stopped at the Kisufim Checkpoint for a long period of time. He honked the car’s horn and a police officer approached the car. The officer brutally dragged Guy out and began to hit him. Other people who were there approached and tried to save him, but were unable. Guy collapsed from the policeman’s attack and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
