When I was "younger" I attended the very first Salute to Israel Parade, and then the next few, including 1967, until we married and made aliyah. They are definitely wonderful, thrilling and a great opportunity for hasbara. I hope that everyone within possible, not just easy, traveling distance attend.
reminder to those in NYC for the parade: anyone who wants to help distribute fliers and orange balloons and headbands can come to 53rd street near 6th avenue and look for people from Herut. they will begin at 11am and continue throughout the day.
